Indy Parks is a few weeks away from kicking off another spectacular summer. With pools, day camps, meals for youth programs, and more activities than you can imagine, they need your help to fill remaining summer jobs. They want to make sure our city’s youth know Indy Parks has safe, good-paying jobs for them this summer.
Their biggest need is lifeguards and assistant program coordinators. Job descriptions for both roles are listed below. There are other summer positions available as well. The staff is ready to answer questions and do whatever is needed to make the hiring process easier.

This position is responsible for scanning assigned zone of protection, enforcing rules, providing safety assistance, rescues, emergency actions and first aid when necessary, monitoring participants and users of the facility, and other lifeguard duties. Lifeguard training is required upon accepting a position and is done by Indy Parks. Cost of training is $35, we do have financial aid available. Must be able to attend mandatory employee trainings starting the week of May 14. Position averages between 35-40 hours per week but is not guaranteed.
Assistant Program Coordinator
This position is responsible for everyday operational tasks at assigned summer lunch location. Responsibilities include monitoring summer lunch sites, reconciling daily meal counts, and tracking lunch invoices from food service provider. Applicants must be at least 18 with a valid driver’s license.
