Off to Japan with ACYPL!

Friends & neighbors:

I am incredibly fortunate to be going to Japan as part of an ACYPL (American Council of Young Political Leaders) delegation. I’ll be gone for a couple weeks, so I won’t be as active on social media or email.

I’d like to thank my nominator-Pete Seat-for this formative opportunity. I’d also like to thank the Pacers, the Indiana Sports Corporation, Visit Indy and United State of Indiana for generously providing gifts for our Japanese hosts.

I couldn’t be more proud to represent our city and state to our strongest ally in the East. (Photos are from our Washington DC briefings at the Japanese Embassy and Department of State; DPRK is obviously a big topic, but there is much to discuss with our global allies across the board.)

Our bipartisan coalition represents a broad range of positions, ideologies, backgrounds and regions. Most importantly, we all want to learn, grow, and be better contributors to our society. Have a wonderful few weeks, all! I’ll have lots to share (and do!!!) when I get back home.
