2016 was a year of exciting and challenging firsts. It was also a learning curve that had a steep uphill climb. It’s a new year and I am ready to roll (I even have a new no-nonsense haircut for the occasion).
In order to maximize my time and try to be as available to everyone, I am going to start hosting monthly “Office Hours,” where constituents can chat with me one-on-one, as well as a monthly “Coffee with your Councillor” where we can socialize informally. Stay tuned for details as we confirm dates and locations.

Between Full Council meetings and my three committee assignments, I have 45 official meetings in 2017. That is not too bad for a mandatory baseline. The real work, as you know, happens in the community. Neighborhood associations, municipal corporations, city administrators and commissions, and individuals are where I will spend most of my time getting things done.
You can get a glimpse of my upcoming schedule in this little video I made for comic relief. Have a meeting you’d like me to attend? I’m happy to accommodate as many groups and speaking engagements as my schedule permits. Simply email me here.
Since it is not possible to speak with every constituent individually, I work closely with all of the neighborhood associations and community leaders to disseminate information and get feedback on issues to be addressed.
